Huggin Chocolate Braggot

ABV: 7.35%

What's a Braggot?

Braggot is a form of mead made with both honey and barley malt. It typically uses 1/3 or more malt and may have as much as 50% malt. (Source)

Mead is argued as one of the oldest-known fermented beverages ever uncovered, and the history of braggot is not far behind. Honey has been used throughout history as a primary source of sugar in the diet and a fortifying agent in fermented beverages. Braggot was a drink of choice, primarily in Europe, largely throughout the post-Renaissance period, and was fairly prominent in areas such as Wales up until the 1800s. (Source)
